Solution Architect – Remote with 1-2 days onsite in Warwick office

We are looking for a Solution Architect with a demonstrable track record in delivery of solutions and breadth and depth of technical knowledge in COTS architecture, platforms & technologies. You will be working closely with BA’s to get requirements in order and will also be involved with feasibility studies on potential new tech. Working in a SA team of 4, there are currently over 20 on-going projects that vary from API work to Salesforce to SaaS / Azure. They are happy for this role to be done predominantly remotely with one or two days per month onsite at their Warwick office

As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for solution architecture, technical and system design activities; operating within a solution development team and ensure solution development designs and technical delivery conforms to programme objectives and vision, Support the approval of the solution architecture and technical design through relevant governance processes and Lead development of solution and technical architectures, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers.

Monitor technical progress, ensuring that co-ordination and change control are applied to technical specifications and to the technical infrastructure. Advise on the impact of changes to the programme and on the process for assessing such impact. Inform technical leadership and project management of major technical issues and makes recommendations for resolution. Ensure that all changes are managed effectively and contributes to formal reviews and evaluations when projects and programmes end.

Skills Required

Demonstrable track record in delivery of solution and technical architecture for programmes of work.

Breadth and depth of technical knowledge in COTS architecture, platforms & technologies.

Stakeholder management and influencing skills covering colleagues, partners / vendors and project sponsors.

Expert knowledge on solution architecture, system analysis & design, quality, change and risk management.

Experience in both waterfall and agile development approaches.

Experience with modelling standards, e.g.TOGAF and DevOps tools.
