Senior SQL DBA – 4 days per week remote forever – learn DevOps / Cloud

We have a brand-new and exciting Senior SQL DBA role working for one of the largest and most secure businesses in the world. While others are furloughing and laying-off this company is investing heavily in to new talent and the latest tech.

The Senior SQL DBA (Database Administrator)will work alongside the Lead DBA to help consolidate a SQL Server estate of 8000 databases to a much more efficient number. You will also be one of the key drivers behind a move to off-prem as well automating to DevOps.

We are looking for somebody who can bring energy and enthusiasm to the role, as well as ideally some previous Cloud experience with any of Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.

Core Competences:

• 5+ years’ experience of SQL database management
• Identify and implement technological and process improvements
• Excellent problem solving
• Advanced level SQL Server 2008 to 2019
• Knowledge of Agile delivery

Desirable:

Additional Knowledge of Azure / AWS / Google Cloud / MongoDB / MySQL / ORACLE + ORACLE Exadata

The role is based in Southport but the expectation is you work only 1 day per week in the office. You can come in to the office more often if you preferred.
