Scrum Master

Scrum Master – 9 month contract – 80% remote working

My global tech client is looking for an experienced Scum Master who will act as the servant-leader for their Agile teams, helping to educate the teams on ways of working and ensuring that all agreed Agile processes are correctly followed. You’ll have responsibility for ensuring the team are empowered to tackle impediments and blockages as quickly as possible.

You will spend much of your time helping other team members communicate, coordinate and cooperate. Where organisational barriers are found, you will constructively challenge these and work with the wider Agile community to ensure we are solving system-wide problems and not just local ones.

The Scrum Master should be an agent of change – a positive disruptor who pursues collective delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Impediment and blockage removal – Responsibility for ensuring the team are empowered to tackle impediments and blockages as quickly as possible is a key facet of the role.
• Facilitating team events – Ensuring all team events run efficiently and effectively. This doesn’t mean you are the Scrum Police – you should encourage the team to tailor approaches to ensure it allows for the maximum focus on Value, Flow and Quality.
• Collaborating with other teams – Working closely with other Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Programme Managers and Release Train Engineers to ensure continuous learning and improvement is at the heart of all we do
• Coaching, mentoring & training team on all aspects of agile to ensure they are building the right thing (purpose), building it right (quality) & building it fast enough (efficiency)
