Head of PMO

Head of PMO / PMO Lead – Remote – FTSE100 Company

One of the top tech and data businesses in the UK is looking for a Head of PMO / PMO Lead to help with the largest transformation programme in their history. This role would ideally suit somebody that has both strong PMO experience as well as Delivery. The role can be done predominately remote with some occasional travel to one of their UK offices.

This role really will get great exposure across the business and technology strategy well as supporting their innovative journey.

Responsibilities:

• Programme Governance
• Organising and preparation for Governance sessions including Executive Steering Committees
• Responsible for adherence to PMO Framework and ensuring that Programme Controls are in place and being followed

• Maintenance of Core programme resource plan
• Drive high standards of customer service and proactive communication throughout the project team
• Manage and motivate project team to maximize performance
• Improvements identification and roll out

Experience / Skills Required:

• Proven experience with leading / governance of IT projects
• Detailed knowledge of Risk and Issue, Dependency & Assumption Management techniques
• Comprehensive understanding of project delivery lifecycle and management
• Strong experience in full lifecycle project management and project teams within a large, complex organization
• Experience of managing tasks / activities with conflicting priorities and communicating outcomes

Technical / Service

• Business / People Excellence in stakeholder management, conflict resolution and people leading
• Strong negotiating, influencing and relationship management skills.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure builds an advantage
• Working knowledge of Service Management (ITIL) an advantage
