Our FTSE 50 Client is currently looking for a Cloud Architect see details below:

Role

• Own and drive the cloud technology roadmap and direction of the platform and software architecture, technology and the vision of how the platform and products will evolve over time
• Be a spokesperson for Global DA to articulate our cloud technology value and vision to the wider business audience both inside and outside, supporting a Cloud First strategy and SaaS operating model
• Provide thought leadership and be a key participant and leader of the architecture Practice to promote Architecture work across Global DA
• Work and collaborate with architects, development teams and stakeholders across different countries to build and develop new capabilities
• Deliver quality technical/technology recommendations, proposals and documentations
• Lead strategic projects to define long term cloud technology vision as well as pragmatic problem solving
• Communicate and explain technical/architectural decisions to product, development and delivery teams

Experience & Skills

• Experience in cloud technology, balancing technology strategy, deployment and roll-out
• Has designed software and knows Cloud software architecture and SaaS operating models
• Experience with major public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP and also VPC deplo
• Broad experience across the modern IT stack focusing on Cloud, with clarity on multi-tenancy and SaaS models, promoting a DevOps and FinOps culture. Quick ability to learn about new trends on cloud.
• As a company, technologies we use and work with include: Java, Groovy, PostGres, big-data (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, EMR); cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OpenShift PaaS); containerisation ( Docker, Kubernetes, EKS); analytics (R, Python) and machine learning technologies (Spark ML, TensorFlow).

Qualifications

• MUST possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Technology, or equivalent
