I am looking for a lead Java engineer for a leisure and tourism business in Derby. You will be responsible for setting the software standards and mentoring a fantastic team of engineers that excel in delivering high quality, efficient media software.
Key Responsibilities
Part of a cross-functional team composed of Back-end and Front-end Developers, UX designers, Product Owner, and a Scrum Master.
Supporting the entire development team in delivering new functionalities as quickly as possible, meeting both expectations and quality standards.
Handling complex projects in a fast-paced fluid environment
Keeping abreast of technological advances
Taking part in the Sprint and participating in all Scrum events.
You review code, promote best practices, and maintain a high level of craftsmanship as well as a pragmatic culture.
Coaching team members and continuously providing feedback to help them do things a little bit better every day
Supporting the Product team with aligning functional and technical needs.
Key Skills and Experience
Significant level of experience as a developer.
Experience of mentoring and coaching other developers.
Proficient in Java and preferably more development languages (C#, JavaScript).
Experience in a Scrum/Agile environment
You lead from the front. You guide by example, not just by words.
